What's New for the 2020 Nissan Rogue?

There are no significant changes made to the Nissan Rogue for the 2020 model year. Still a compact crossover with several safety features and lots of cargo space, the Nissan Rogue is currently in its second generation of production.

Trims & Interior Tech Features

The two-row 2020 Nissan Rogue is available in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. Each trim is available as a front-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive vehicle.

The S, which serves as the base-level model, provides standard features such as cruise control, remote keyless entry, the Advanced Drive-Assist Display to reduce distraction on the road, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration, hands-free text messaging, Bluetooth wireless connectivity for hands-free phone operation and audio streaming, a four-speaker stereo system with AM/FM radio and a CD/MP3/WMA player, two USB ports and an auxiliary audio jack for hooking up mobile devices, a three-month trial of SiriusXM satellite radio, NissanConnect infotainment integration with a 7-inch touchscreen. The cabin features EZ Flex rear seats: so named because they not only split-fold to maximize cargo space, but also slide and recline. A Divide-N-Hide cargo system splits the cargo space into two for more versatile storage and concealment.

At the SV trim level, the Rogue is upgraded with front-seat heating, eight-way power with 2-way lumbar support on the driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a smart key system with push-button engine start, remote start with intelligent climate control, and six speakers instead of four.

The top-level SL is the only trim with leather seat trim, 4-way power on the front-passenger seat, a driver-side memory system, auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror, the HomeLink universal transceiver to remote-control garage doors, door-to-door navigation ability with voice recognition, trial subscriptions to SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, a pair of trial NissanConnect Services subscriptions for a variety of remote and convenience features (such as automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle locator, roadside assistance, and remote door lock and unlock), and a nine-speaker Bose stereo system.

Strong Performance Under the Hood

On all trims, Nissan installs a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, which produces 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque and is tied to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which uses a gear-less scheme for a smoother driving feel. Safety comes Standard on 2020 Rogue

For safety, the 2020 Nissan Rogue starts with features such as a six-airbag system, vehicle dynamic control with traction control, a rearview camera, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, intelligent trace control, active ride control, LED daytime running lights, a rear door alert, high-beam assist, and a theft-deterrent system that combines keyless entry with engine immobilization.

Standard driver-assistance tech includes warning, intelligent lane intervention, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Rear sensors and rear automatic braking are added to the SV. On the SL, an around-view camera replaces the rearview camera for a 360-degree view, and cruise control is upgraded to intelligent cruise control to automatically adjust speed.
