Newsweek readers love to evaluate top automotive brands, and they have made their voices heard for the 2026 model year. Nissan recently took home awards across seven Readers' Choice categories, proving its dedication to quality and performance. Car buyers certainly paid attention in 2026.

Nissan Wins in Seven Categories

Earning top placement in seven categories of the 2026 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards is a great victory, but winning every category nominated is even more notable. Achieving a 100% win rate gives Nissan plenty of reason to celebrate.

The list of awards is prestigious: No. 1 Best Brand Dealership Experience, Best Truck Brand, Best SUV Brand, and Best Car Brand. Individual models also scored top placement. The Nissan Rogue was named No. 1 Best New SUV, while the Nissan Frontier was awarded No. 1 Best New Truck. The Altima placed second in the Best New Car class, following the No. 1 ranked Nissan Sentra.

Tiago Castro, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing & Sales at Nissan and INFINITI, stated that sweeping nominated categories is a big vote of confidence from buyers. Across cars, trucks, SUVs, and showroom service, Nissan meets consumer demands.

Newsweek's staff remarked that Nissan's performance was an extraordinary moment in the Readers' Choice Awards program. Readers appreciated the 2026 Nissan Sentra for offering more standard equipment than competing sedans, as well as the upcoming 2027 Nissan Frontier for its utility and modern design.

For drivers interested in American assembly, the Frontier is manufactured at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi plant. The facility recently produced its 1 millionth Frontier truck, reflecting Nissan's standing as the fastest-growing mainstream brand in the U.S..
