Nissan Titan Changes

Tough doesn't begin to cut it when it comes to the 2017 Nissan Titan and 2017 Nissan Titan XD in Peoria. Whether you are shopping for a light-duty pick-up truck to handle your cargo or a heavy-duty diesel workhorse that can champion any load, there's a Titan model to fit your needs.

The standard Titan is all-new for the 2017 model year, sporting a more rugged exterior and a redesigned cabin, as well as a unique chassis. The Titan XD carries over from last year, with the addition of two new design packages: Texas Edition and Chrome.

Titan Trims, Features & More

The gas-powered Titan is designed for light-duty work, while the Titan XD offers heavy-duty hauling and towing capabilities, made possible through a longer wheelbase, stronger chassis and a diesel powertrain. However, Titan and Titan XD look nearly identical and offer the same body styles, trim levels and appointments. Nissan truck shoppers have the choice between single cab and crew cab, as well as five trims: S, SV, Pro-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve.

Whatever you are looking for on a new truck, the 2017 Nissan Titan in the Phoenix area is bound to have it. Standard features include cloth seating, a 5-inch media display, Bluetooth phone and audio, a lockable tailgate and cab-mounted LED bed lighting. Those seeking the most hauling conveniences will appreciate available features like LED cargo box lighting, an Utili-Track bed rail system and a 120-volt bed outlet. For frequent towers, the optional Towing Convenience package adds built-in tow mirrors, front hooks and a trailer brake controller.

The Titan is also available in the trail-ready Pro-4X model, which adds all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, hill descent control, a lockable rear differential and other features that weekend warriors will love.

Engine Options & Specs

The light-duty Titan features a gas-powered 5.6-liter V8 powertrain that makes a solid 390 horsepower and 393 pound-feet of torque. A new seven-speed automatic gearbox is paired with the engine, and the truck can be had in RWD or 4WD. The pickup truck comes in with a top payload of 1,940 lbs. and a maximum tow capacity of 9,370 lbs.

The Titan XD is offered with the 5.6-liter V8, but those thirsting for power will want to check out the 5.0-liter V8 Turbo Diesel. Generating 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque, power is funneled to the wheels through a standard six-speed automatic or an optional seven-speed automatic. 2017 Nissan Titan XD reviews are impressed by the truck's capabilities, which include a maximum payload of 2,910 lbs. and a maximum tow capacity of up to 12,640 lbs.

Safety Information

Titan is equipped with top-notch safety, including hill start assist, antilock brakes, stability and traction control, and an airbag system with rollover deployment sensors. A blind-spot monitor and rearview camera are included on the long list of equipment, starting on the Pro-4X trim.

The Titan can also be had with parking sensors and Nissan's Around View Monitor, which 2017 Nissan Titan reviews recommend for their assistance in low-visibility situations.
