Nissan has announced that the Maxima will end production in 2023. The Maxima has been a mainstay in the Nissan lineup for 36 years. Still, declining sales have led the company to discontinue it.
However, Nissan has yet to rule out the possibility of bringing the Maxima back as an all-electric car. The company is currently investigating the feasibility of such a move. If it decides to go ahead, the automaker could launch the new Maxima as early as 2024.
