What's New For The 2019 Nissan NV?

In 2019, the Nissan NV is still available as a passenger van and cargo van. This year, however, you'll see some minor but meaningful changes to both models. A heavyweight platform gives the Nissan NV more traction and stability. There are two roof height options for the NV this year, which are a standard and a tall roof. There are five trim levels of the NV - three for the passenger van, and two for the cargo van. New stylish 17-inch wheels are standard, and an eight-cylinder engine is optional for the cargo van. The NV has ample cargo room and storage space, and Nissan claims to back the NV with the "best commercial warranty" on the market. To make the van seem more like a pickup than a commercial truck, Nissan has given its exterior more attention this year, including giving the NV a more refined front grille and a more comfortable interior. Updated technology is a hallmark of both the cargo and passenger vans. Along with standard features, the cargo and passenger van both have plenty of optional amenities, too.

What are the Nissan NV Trims & Features?

In 2019, you'll find three trim levels of the passenger van and two trim levels of the cargo van. The passenger van comes well-equipped at the base level with 17-inch wheels, a seven-inch display screen with hands-free wireless technology, USB charging ports, and a sound system with dual speakers. There are cargo-area mounting points on the floor and sides to facilitate storage, while a keyless entry system makes it easy to access the NV when you have your hands full. A standard backup camera facilitates reversing, and an AM/FM stereo provides audio entertainment.

Power-locking doors, power-operated windows, and a sliding door complete the base trim's amenities. The second trim level, called the SV, adds more features in the form of multiple cup holders, a center console with more storage capacity, and a table that slides and locks. An overhead console provides more storage space in the high-ceiling model, and heated side mirrors are included if you get the V8 engine. The highest trim level, which is the SL, adds chrome accents to the exterior, a security system, and a driver's seat that moves in eight ways. Heated seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are notable creature comforts.

The cargo van version of the NV comes in two trim levels. The base trim is also called the S. It has the same interior design as the passenger van version of the same trim. However, it weighs about a half-ton and has more room for storing cargo. The second trim level of the cargo NV is the SV. It also mirrors the same trim level of the passenger van in many respects. However, it gets a four-speaker sound system instead of a six-speaker system, and it comes with heated outer mirrors. The steering wheel gets illuminated controls for optimal visibility.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance
