What's New For the 2019 Nissan Murano?

The Murano belongs to one of the most competitive classes of vehicles, which is that of the mid-size SUV. Therefore, automakers with cars in the mid-size SUV class are always looking for ways to get a leg up. This year, the first thing you'll notice about the Murano is its bold new exterior styling. The changes begin with a distinct V-shaped grille and bold trapezoidal LED headlights. Also a change for this year is the fact that the back lights have an LED bulb as well. A rear roof spoiler adds an element of interest to the Murano's style. It also serves the practical purpose of keeping snow and rain off the back windshield. Inside, the Murano gets a fresh dose of new technology. This year, the crossover features amenities you'd expect from any competitive vehicle in the 2019 model year, including Apple CarPlay, wireless technology, and Apple CarPlay. As you progress through the trim levels, you'll get more luxurious standard features such as wood trim accents and quilted leather seats.

2019 Murano Trims & Features

The 2019 Nissan Murano comes in four trim levels. The family starts with the base model called the S. The S rides on 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels. While not all base models have an advanced infotainment system, the S does. At eight inches tall, its touchscreen is also larger than you'll typically find on an entry-level vehicle. The car's infotainment system is equipped with standout features too, including voice recognition, Apple CarPlay, wireless technology, and Android Auto. The S comes standard with a rearview mirror to make backing up easier. For added peace of mind while reversing, you can also have the available parking sensors installed. Other features to look forward to in the S are dual-zone AC with an air purifying system and AC vents in the back row. A push-button start is standard on all trim levels. The SV adds a remote engine start system and a rearview mirror that dims automatically to adjust to the precise lighting conditions outside. While variable intermittent wipers are standard on the S, the SV has speed-sensing intermittent wipers. A 10-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support makes even the longest drives more comfortable. The SL, which is the third highest trim, adds to the list premium leather-trimmed seats. Its premier Bose audio system with subwoofers and an 11-speaker configuration will please the music aficionado. This trim level upgrades to larger 20-inch wheels, and it gives you the option of getting either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The infotainment system includes navigation. A panoramic camera also comes with this trim. The top-level Murano is the Platinum. A power-operated panoramic moonroof, heated and cooled front seats, and more driver aids, such as emergency braking with pedestrian detection, are highlights of the Platinum. Finishing its upscale interior are wood grain accents and leather-trimmed surfaces.
