Nissan's Altima is one of the most popular mid-size cars in the United States, and with good reason. With its incomparable style, handling and near-luxury interior, it proves to be a top choice in its segment. And after receiving a complete redesign just last year - which included an exterior makeover, revisions to its CVT transmission and cabin enhancements - the Altima is better than ever.
For the new model year, Peoria 2014 Nissan Altima owners see even more upgrades, including the new Technology Package with NissanConnect with navigation and NissanConnect Apps, new exterior colors like Gun Metallic, and extra cabin features and amenities.
The 2014 Nissan Altima in Peoria comes in sedan and hybrid models this year; the coupe has been discontinued. Seven trim levels are available, which allows for a high level of interior customization and personalization. Under the hood, all 2.5 2014 Altima trim levels come stocked with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 182 horsepower and 180 lb.-ft. of torque. High performance 3.5 Altima trims get a powerful 3.5-liter V6 that produces 270 horsepower and 251 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 in just over six seconds, which according to nearly every Nissan Altima review out there, puts it at the head of its class.
Thanks to last year's addition of NASA-inspired "zero-gravity seats" and other improvements, the Altima leads the pack in terms of interior refinement and high-quality features. Over the course of our 2014 Nissan Altima review, we found it offers the following standard and optional amenities: a nine-speaker Bose audio system, the NissanConnect infotainment system with navigation and Nissan Connect Apps for smartphone integration, cruise control, keyless entry/push-button start, full power accessories, a rearview camera, leather seats, heated front seats, a sunroof and more.
