Hope Community Services

Located in Peoria, Arizona, Hope Community Services offers emergency shelter and services for children in need. The program was founded in the 1980s under the name of the West Valley Child Crisis Center. Since then, it has grown as an organization to serve children in need with multiple residence homes. The organization works to provide a safe and secure environment for children who are victims of abuse, domestic violence, or neglect.

About Hope Community Services

Hope Community Services emerged as a reputable and established organization following a renovation of its initial headquarters in 1988. Since then, the organization has grown tremendously in its capacity to serve local at-risk youth. In 2002, Hope Community Services opened a center called the Kids Campus, which served up to 400 children each year through 2009. Following the center's closure, Hope Community Services shifted its care model to providing children with placements in residence-like environments. In 2018, the organization formally changed its name to Hope Community Services. Although the organization began operating under a different name, its goal of serving local children and their families remained the same. Along with the name change, the organization added several additional programs to its core program offerings, including a series of Behavioral Health Programs.

A Series of Missions

Over the years, Hope Community Services has altered its missions as it has changed and grown as an organization. Initially, its first mission was to provide temporary housing and support for children suffering from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. The organization provided children with safe and nurturing residence-like settings with quality caregivers to meet their needs. It also worked with local community officials to raise awareness of childhood abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Collectively, they worked together to end the cycle of abuse.

Later, the organization adopted a second mission, proactively working to end childhood abuse through prevention and educational programs. The organization continued its mission to place children in safe and nurturing home environments. Finally, the organization adopted its third mission, which remains its current mission to date. Through this mission, Hope Community Services works to create lasting and impactful solutions for afflicted children and their family members by creating special programs that aspire to build safe and nurturing communities within the state of Arizona.

Core Programs

Today, Hope Community Services carries out its mission through three core programs: foster care and adoption, family support services, and behavioral health.
