We are honored to announce that Nissan has earned a perfect score in this year's Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index. This is the second year the manufacturer has received a 100 in the Index, which honors the automaker for their culturally diverse efforts and acceptance of the LGBT community.

Nissan has been a longtime supporter of equality and LGBT rights. Just this year the company sponsored the National Gay and Lesbian Journalist Association's Chicago convention, where they helped raise money for the NLGJA's Connect Student Journalism Project, which gives college journalism students the ability to report about important LGBT issues. Around June they also held an HRC Summit, which centered around LGBT inclusion in the workplace, and later that month, they participated in Nashville's Pride festival. In addition to these efforts, Nissan has comprised their very own Gay-Straight Alliance group (GSAN) and they hold a variety of diversity workshops to help bring their employees together. These practices are what helped lead to their 100-percent score on the 2014 Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index.
